What type of candle wax do you use?
We use 100% soy wax for our scented candles. Soy wax is a natural and renewable resource derived from soy bean. It burns without black soot and generates a cleaner burn with less smoke and residue. Soy wax is also an effective fragrance carrier.
Anything I should know before using the candle?
If you are using a scented candle, aim for your first burn to last at least 30mins, or until the entire top layer of the candle has liquified. This will help your subsequent burns to be more even. If you are using a pillar candle, make sure you place it on a dish that can collect wax drippings, a pretty one too while you are at it.
What do I do with the "ink" after the initial session?
That depends on...if you enjoyed the ink? You can either remove the ink paper using a wick dipper or any other suitable apparatus, or can push the ink paper down to the bottom of the melted later for future use.
How should I store my candle?
Store your candle in a cool place away from direct sunlight, but not in your basement because your candle will get lonely.
What is your shipping policy for Australia?
We mail all our orders via Sendle. For domestic orders, our promotional shipping rate starts from $5.99. Free shipping for any orders over $99. Standard post delivery times are approximately 1-5 business days from the time of order.
What is your shipping policy for the rest of the world?
Yes, Australia is far but we will get these to you! We ship internationally also via Sendle. The shipping fee will be calculated after you input your shipping address. Below are some post-fulfillment delivery timelines, but the wait may take longer due to shipping delays or custom inspections:
- New Zealand: 3-5 business days
- Rest of the world: 5-15 business days"
What is your return and refund policy?
Sad face, but we are committed to making this right for you. If you wish to return a product due to a quality issue, please email documenting photographs to returns@inkandsaudade.com within 7 days of receipt and we will assess your request and provide you with a return address if applicable. Note that all returning products must be unused. While you are responsible for return shipping costs, we will provide you with a refund or credit to the value of the product purchased less any shipping charges.
